Want to Glorify God?

1 Corinthians 2:16

Matthew 13:15

John 9:35-41

Matthew 16:22 - 16:23

What do all these scriptures have in common?

They all tell us that we can think, hear, see, and speak exactly like God!

It is a timely word for us today! God is saying, “It is absolutely perative that you see how I see, hear how I hear, and think how I think!” Because any thought that doesn’t have Jesus at the center is satanic in nature. Jesus told Peter, “Look, if you do not think like God then you think like men and to think like men is satanic! WOW, that there should shake you!”

So let me ask you a question,

If Jesus could swap places with you and stand in your shoes for a moment while maintaining His Godship, would He see things differently than you? Make decisions differently? Approach life differently? Think differently about the choices you’ve made?

I would have to assume the answers would be yes, yes, yes and yes.

One of the greatest gifts we have with walking with the Lord is the opportunity to connect our life to His nature in all aspects.

It is so vital that we come into alignment with His nature, so much so that His nature becomes my nature.

Here is the thing,

We must begin to take every thought, action, and view point captive.

God must be brought into every aspect of our lives and must be the center of everything we think and do. EVERYTHING!!!

Then we must act accordingly!

If we don’t invite God into everything in our being it is a satanic partnership that will produce satanic fruits.

We are entering a new season where in our relationship with God obedience is not the primary purpose. Our primary focus is friendship.

No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

John 15:15

We are entering a season where God wants friends, not servants. However a true friend serves.

God recently asked me the question, “What do you want? Not what you need because I already know what you need and I take care of you, but what do you want Jerry?” In order for me to answer this question I had to evaluate my current situation, my current life decisions, and my current conditions and unfortunately what I want doesn’t line up with where I currently am.

Of the Father

God said, “Those dreams, those desires you have, do you think those are in you because you’ve conjured these things up? I put these there because I made you and I love you and when you are happy I am glorified!”

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. “By this My Father is glorified

John 15:7 - 15:8

Delight yourself also in the LORD,

And He shall give you the desires of your heart

Psalm 37:4

After studying the word “DESIRE” this is what God began to reveal to me.

Desire is a Latin word broken into two parts De-(Of) & Sire (the Father)-----Desire means -“Of the Father”

The Father is asking you as well, what do you want? What are your desires? Because If you abide in me and my words abide in you those desires you have are straight from my throne.

So what are we waiting on? Remember if Jesus was in your shoes how would He respond to that question? Faith, nothing impossible, risk? I am positive Jesus would be responding accordingly.

So what is stopping us?

As He is so are we in this world.

1 John 4:17

Hope deferred makes the heart sick,

But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life

Proverbs 13:12

We all want to glorify the Father right? Then its easy, step out and fulfill your desires because He put them there!

God bless you,
